Maintenance Tips
|
Once a month
- Test your smoke detectors to make sure they are working properly.
- Check and change your air filters for all your air intakes on your HVAC unit. This will help anyone that has allergies, as well as air flow throughout the house. Also, it will help with you become more Energy efficient. Your HVAC Unit will not have to work as hard and therefore use less energy.
Spring and Fall (when you set you clocks)
- Clean out gutters and drains to keep water flowing freely away from your home. Sitting water attracts mosquitoes and can rot wood facia.
- Change Smoke Detector batteries. Try to change the battery with the Time change. It is a good way to remember when to change the batteries.
- Make sure bushes and trees are trimmed. This will help prevent tree limbs from falling and damaging your roof. Keeping bushes trim help keep mold and mildew from growing on your siding.
Yearly
- Have your HVAC unit serviced on a yearly basis. An ounce of prevention will save you a lot of $$ in the long run.
-
Contract with a licensed pest control company and have yearly inspections.
